Australian nuts
Australian nuts for importers, retailers and manufacturers
Shiiv Imports sources Australian almonds, macadamias and other nuts for importers, retailers, snack makers and confectioners overseas. We supply bulk kernel, in-shell and retail packs, mixed nut ranges and private label, by the container or alongside other Australian lines. Send the grade, pack and port and we return samples and an FOB or CIF quote.
What we source
- Almonds: kernel, in-shell, and processed formats such as sliced, diced and meal, on brief.
- Macadamias: kernel styles and in-shell.
- Other Australian nuts and mixed ranges for snacking, baking and gifting.
- Retail packs and private label for supermarkets and specialty stores.
Who briefs us for nuts
- Nut processors and snack manufacturers, retailers building private label or mixed-nut ranges, confectioners and bakeries, and seasonal gifting buyers in India and the Gulf.
Markets
Shiiv Imports already sources for international clients across Asia (China, Thailand, Vietnam and India), the Pacific (Fiji and Vanuatu), the Middle East (Dubai), the USA and Europe. We quote Australian nuts to buyers in these markets and beyond. For India, buyers claim AI-ECTA preferential rates with a Certificate of Origin; we arrange it with each shipment.
Seasons and specifications
Australian almond and macadamia harvests fall in the southern autumn, so new-crop availability follows the Australian calendar, not the northern one. Put grade, size, moisture, pack and shelf-life needs in the brief; we match them to suppliers and share the specification sheet before you approve.
Documents
Nuts are a prescribed export from Australia only where the importing country requires a phytosanitary or other government certificate. In that case the consignment is inspected at a registered establishment and carries an export permit and phytosanitary certificate. Nuts described as organic always need an organic goods certificate from an approved certifying body. We check MICoR (https://micor.agriculture.gov.au) and your importer's written requirements for each order.
Private label nuts
Your brand on Australian nuts, packed by Australian packers to your artwork and your market's labelling rules. Origin wording is stated per product with the packer's evidence. See private label with Australian manufacturers: https://www.shiivimports.com.au/export/private-label-australian-manufacturers
Quality
Suppliers hold food safety certification relevant to each product. Orders are handled under Shiiv's ISO 9001 quality management system, within its certified scope.

Questions importers ask
Can I buy Australian almonds in bulk kernel or in-shell?
Yes. We source both, plus processed formats and retail packs, from Australian growers and processors, quoted FOB or CIF to your port.
Does AI-ECTA reduce tariffs on Australian almonds?
AI-ECTA gives preferential tariff treatment, and to claim it your shipment needs a preferential Certificate of Origin from a recognised issuing body. We arrange the certificate and your customs broker confirms the current rate and any quota for your tariff line before you order.
When are Australian macadamias and almonds harvested?
Both are harvested in the southern autumn, around March to May, so new-crop shipments follow from mid-year. Exact timing varies by season and region.
Can you pack Australian nuts under my brand?
Yes. We arrange private label packing with Australian packers to your artwork and your market's labelling rules.
Can nuts go in a mixed container with other Australian products?
Yes, where storage needs are compatible. We plan the load and the documents for each line.
What documents come with an Australian nut shipment?
Usually a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Where your market requires a phytosanitary certificate, the nuts become a prescribed export and also need an Australian export permit after inspection.
